Location

Lake Krugloe.

Tasks

A contemporary residence on the shore of Lake Krugloe.

About the project

This striking premium villa sits harmoniously within the natural landscape and offers ideal conditions for a calm and refined life right by the water.

Key merits of the residence:

•

Organic architecture: the house is designed with an elegant nod to the Prairie School, the Wright style. Wide roof overhangs, pronounced horizontal lines and low-slung proportions create a sense of solidity and of complete unity with the surrounding nature.

•

Fine materials: the facades combine textured brick, natural rough stone on the plinth and warm timber panelling to striking effect.

•

Multi-level landscape design: the natural slope of the site towards the lake is skilfully handled by terracing. Retaining walls of massive stone boulders, block-paved paths, rock gardens and lavender make up a picturesque parkland. Evening landscape lighting gives the grounds a particular magic.

•

Sweeping views: thanks to the panoramic glazing and the fortunate position on higher ground, the windows and the spacious covered terrace open onto stunning views of the water of Lake Krugloe and the dense coniferous forest on the opposite shore.

•

Considered comfort: a spacious paved forecourt with an integrated covered carport gives convenient all-weather access, while the snug lounge areas on the terrace let you enjoy the sunsets in complete privacy.
